Rules of Etiquette for Mother's Attire

While it is important to allow your mother and future mother-in-law to pick a style they both feel comfortable in, there are some rules of etiquette that they should keep in mind.
Tradition holds that the mother of the bride chooses a dress first, followed by the mother of the groom. Their dresses should complement each other, as well as the bridal party.
For instance, having one mother in a floor length dress and another in a mini-skirt is a major no-no. Likewise, your mother wearing an orange dress next to your bridesmaid’s light green ensembles are bound to make your wedding pictures look tacky.
While your moms shouldn’t be wearing the same style and color, their dresses should coordinate.
Generally, at formal weddings, your mother and mother-in-law should be in floor or tea-length dresses. Semi-formal or informal weddings allow them to get more creative with the length, but they still need to make sure they are complementing one another.
Unless your bridesmaids will be wearing black, a mother of the bride or groom should avoid this color. Until recently, black at weddings was considered a social blunder and many guests will still look at the color choice with suspicion.
Steer them away from choosing a color that will raise eyebrows as to whether or not they approve of the marriage.
Don’t forget to finish the look with a matching corsage or a small bouquet.

Your Wedding: 3 Styles For Each Season

As we mentioned before, the time of year your wedding falls in is quite a big thing to consider when you’re picking your dress. It really wouldn’t do, for example, to be shivering in a breezy, knee-length affair in the middle of winter… sweating unattractively through your make-up in summer.
It seems to us that the question of “wedding date and wedding dress – which comes first?” is something of a chick and egg argument. Regardless of whether or not you’ve picked your wedding date yet, or whether or not you’ve already got a style of dress in mind, taking a look at what styles best suit each season can’t hurt, right?

Spring

Think flowers! The spring season has traditionally always been considered a romantic time for weddings – it’s the season for new beginnings, and what is more romantic than beginning a new life together surrounded by budding flowers?
We believe that spring is one of the more dreamy seasons, so take a look at fuller skirted gowns. As the weather warms, you’ll also be able to handle sleeveless dresses. Patterned lace and soft ruffles made from lighter fabrics such as chiffon and organza will be a good touch.

Summer

This is the perfect season for outdoors weddings – think beach, garden, or backyard weddings! There’ll be lots of green, lots of bright colors, and sunlight to reflect your joy and happiness during this momentous occasion.
Since it’s going to be warm, we would recommend shorter dresses, light fabrics, and maybe little cheeky touches here and there. You should go for something soft and breezy, and be careful to avoid decorations that may appear too “heavy” for the season such as overly ornate ruffles.

Autumn

Another great season for outdoor weddings. It’s festive, but still manages to have a somewhat “mellow” feel. Usually favorite for those who are looking for warm and intimate weddings, as autumn the season for getting together with family and close friends.
Cream or off-white dresses will really match with the colors of the season. This season is quite flexible – both long or short wedding dresses are ideal. However, fall weather is a little tricky, and liable to change at any minute, so perhaps you should look for dresses that match well with a wrap.

Winter

This season is magical! Just imagine all the snow, the sparkle, the perfect whiteness… It’s definitely one of the dreamy seasons, and absolutely perfect for indoor weddings.
We recommend taking a look at gowns with dramatic sweeps and maybe even a long train. Lace and shimmering beading or decorations would really work well – think of a winter ball! If you’re looking to wear a long-sleeved wedding gown, then this is also the season for you.

Lebanese designer says wedding gowns have bright future in fashion

Zuhair Murad, a Lebanese designer, stated his confidence on the future of wedding dresses in fashion.
In an interview, Murad said that gowns ranging from weddingcoo wedding dresses to modern ones could serve as an inspiration for cocktail or dinner dresses. There are simply a lot of possibilities that can be seen on designing dresses inspired from wedding gowns, the designer added. Not to mention the sexy classy bridal lingerie which forms the basis for the entire dress.
Murad designs ready-to-wear collections and specially-made dresses for clients. He has dressed some of the biggest Hollywood stars and royal families in the Middle East. He added that there has been a spike in sales in other major markets such as Europe, China and Russia.
The designer cautioned that despite this seemingly growing trend, designers should still be prudent when it comes to designing a new line with this motif. He stressed that collaborations with other companies could still be a viable option to come up with great designs.

Budget-friendly wedding tips

Smart couples these days carefully consider all wedding expenses, from the invitations and flowers, to venue and honeymoon, mainly owing to the recession. So, I've here are two key points that any budget-friendly wedding should definately consider:
Use of the internet: With more people being connected with the internet, it is easy for couples to send their wedding invitations online. Instead of spending a lot on printing formal invitations on fancy paper, design an attractive invitation using imaging software then send these electronic cards online.
Many wedding services can also be compared on line, which will help you find the best and most competitive deal out there for you.
That wedding dress: Instead of going to wedding dress sections in department stores, check with close family relatives and friends if they have a wedding dress that you can buy or borrow because chances are they may be able to let go of these dresses because it will go to someone special like you. Plus, the dress may look be rather weddingcoo!

"Twilight" star Kristen Stewart calls shots for Bella's wedding dress

Actress Kristen Stewart catches global media attention once more when she revealed in a recent interview that she called the shot in choosing the wedding dress for her role in the highly popular film "Twilight", specifically on its upcoming installment titled "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn".

Stewart said that though the final decision came from "Twilight" actor Stephenie Meyer, her opinion and preference have been heard out.

At the Cinema Society and Everlon Diamond Knot Collection's screening of the film "Welcome To the Rileys" at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City, the actress said in an interview with MTV Networks that she had a hand in choosing the wedding dress of "Bella", the role she famously played for the film.

Last year, a feature in "InStyle" showed possible designs for wedding dress. Most of the fans liked the concept provided by fashion designer Monique Lhuillier.

Mature Wedding Dresses: Where To Find Them

Mature Wedding Dresses? Yes . . . they do exist. The following information will give you suggestions on where to find a wedding dress for the mature bride.

Search the web for wedding dress designers with informal gown collections. Informal gowns usually don't have long trains and are less ornate... which is the prefered style of gown for mature brides.
If you prefer a wedding dress alternative, such as bridal suits or wedding 2-piece special occasion dresses... you will find these among the mothers of the bride gowns.
You can order your wedding attire online or at a bridal shop. Make sure you know what the return policy is. Always pay for your bridal gown with a credit card. If there is something wrong with the dress, you can resolve the matter through your credit card company if you can't come to an agreement with the store.
You sometimes can go to the wedding dress designers’ web site and they will list the stores in your area that carry their designs. A wedding shop can order the bridal gown for you, even though it may not be in the store.
Most bridal stores have a no refund, no exchanges policy so if you order your dress . . . you must be sure you like it. Now, I know what you are thinking . . . what if it comes in and I don’t like it?
Some shops will allow you to exchange it for something in the store. But if that option isn’t available . . . you will be stuck with the gown.

What is your feeling about bridal gown made in Thailand selling online?

I am planning to sell bridal gown from Thailand .The price will start from 150 us dollar up to 300 us dollar (satin ) also Thai silk.Made

by Thai ladies to help them have job in my hometown.I want to know what customer expect from buying online bridal gown from Thailand.
If i were looking at this then i would be sceptical of the gown and also women who are looking online already know that they will probably have to make alterations.

i think that the best thing you can do is give very accurate measurements of the gown and include as many pictures as you can including the

bridal gown on someone to help people see how it falls
What is the difference between a bridal gown and a wedding dress?
I'm just curious, what's the difference between a bridal gown and a wedding dress? Some people say they're the same but some people refer

to them as if they were different.
Nah, they're the same. Generally, though, the expensive dresses tend to be labeled "bridal gowns" because it sounds more lavish. Store clerks are good at this, especially if

they want their place to be considered "high end."

Nothing, really. The term 'dress' would probably refer to something less formal.
Where I'm from, a traditional wedding gown is called a wedding gown.

Nothing, they are different words to say the same thing. However, bridal gown generally refers to a fancier, more formal dress. A wedding dress can be used to refer to those dresses/suits that some brides choose to wear for informal or weddings in a judge's chambers.

which style of wedding dresses

Mermaid wedding dress is one of the most popular trends in the wedding industry at the moment. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most difficult wedding dress styles to wear. Many women who would love to wear a mermaid wedding dress simply do not look good in them.
For you that have an hourglass shape, a strapless or off-the-shoulder gown is just right. When shopping for a strapless ball gown wedding dress, lean towards the one-piece gowns instead of two-piece gowns which can result in a "choppy" look and splitting you into two figures.
A-line wedding dress is one of the most flattering dress shapes for almost any bride because it hides some areas of the stomach. Find an A-line wedding dress with different necklines or sleeve lengths with tips from a bridal shop consultant in this free video on wedding dresses.

As its name implies, the A-line wedding dress is narrow at the top, cut close to the ribcage, and extends out along the body in the shape of a triangle (or 'A') in a smooth, elongated line. It is perhaps the most popular skirt option, as it looks wonderful on a variety of body types. The lines of the skirt are always clean and ungathered, but there is, as always, a number of versions. The princess cut is exemplified by vertical seams travelling from the bust to the hem. Another take is the circle skirt, a very wide A-line with a full skirt.

A modern sexier take on the traditional wedding gown, the sheath wedding dress is characterised by a slim profile that closely follows the curves of the body. This style is characterized by a low waistline that is generally V or U-shaped, beginning several inches below the waist. Petite brides may want to consider other shapes as this style may create a shorter appearance.
